Our Client:

Fasset clean and clear on behalf of NavTech. 9.5 tonnes were recycled between 13th and 14th of December 2016 carried out by a crew of 4 from the TRACOuk team.

The challenge?

Split into 2 phases, the challenge was to clear office furniture, which after 30 years was no longer conducive to the modern office space. Fasset, who manage Hersham Tech Park, chose us as the obvious solution to recycle and salvage what we could, ensuring those elements which could be reused were. The challenge was to clear half the office while the other half was in full use by the employees of NavTech. We had to be quick, quiet and mindful of those around us. We had to deploy all our lifting aids to make the job safe and efficient. We also decommissioned redundant cabling and organised them into piles for future reuse.

The solution?

Using dollies, panel trucks and tubs on wheels we efficiently separated each component and loaded them into our vehicles ready for recycling. Any wood waste which could not be reused was taken to a specialist recovery plant which recycle or recover energy from the wood.  Items which still have life in them were cleaned up, processed and placed online for emerging businesses to purchase at discounted prices helping startups to grow while supporting our social efforts.

The outcome?

NavTech experienced a pain-free clearance solution and lost very little downtime despite over 100 desks being replaced along with new chairs, cupboards and IT. Fasset entrusted TRACOuk with an important clearance and client so we didn’t disappoint. If we say we’ll deliver a job in a set timeframe, we’ll deliver on that pledge.
