Our Client:
Gattaca, formerly Matchtech group of whitely, are a regular client with multiple sites including London and Whitely.
The challenge?
The job was to relocate over 45 staff from one building to another using over 100 crates and 4 of our specially designed ‘tubs on wheels’ ideal for moving IT. With each workstation having to be carefully taken apart retaining all the staff members items and computer components together. Then for us to relocate and reassemble everything ready to be used on Monday when the staff returned.
The solution?
We relocated desks, chairs, pedestals and cupboards over a weekend so that business disruption was kept to a minimum. The relocation included decommissioning and recommissioning all their IT, which although not a specialist skill, requires competent IT knowledge and good organisation skills. Once we’d relocated all staff and IT, we then cleared over 30 desks and associated chairs from site and re-used and recycled appropriately as is our policy so not to add waste to landfill.
The outcome?
The job lasted 2 days with a team of 5 and all workstations were returned to working order in that time meaning the staff were ready just to come in and continue their work with no issues.
